Introducing the Vogue Gen2 System

The Vogue Gen2 System boiler is an award-winning model that is Energy Saving Trust endorsed thanks to its impressive efficiency. Built in the UK, the Vogue Gen2 is a premium model with a host of amazing features.

As a system boiler, it works with a separate hot water cylinder to provide central heating and hot water in your home. With a warranty of up to 10 years, it’s a dependable and easy-to-use central heating solution.

The Vogue Gen2 System Boiler’s Controls

The Vogue Gen2 has a straightforward and user-friendly control interface, which you can learn more about in the image below. We’ll refer back to some of these controls a little further down the page.

Vogue Gen2 System Boiler Controls

Managing Low Water Pressure

The pressure gauge (F) is a feature of your boiler controls, helping you keep track of your central heating system’s pressure. If the Vogue Gen2 System ever falls to a level below the original installation pressure (1.0-1.5 bar), you’ll find instructions how to repressurise your boiler on page 9 of the full user guide.

Contact a Gas Safe-registered engineer if you’re unable to follow the instructions or find that the pressure has continued to drop.

Weather Compensation

Fitting the Vogue Gen2 System with a Weather Compensation option means you can use the Central Heating Temperature Control knob (D) to control room temperature. Rotate the knob clockwise in order to make the room temperature warmer, or rotate it counterclockwise to cool the room temperature.

Keep the knob in the same position when you find a temperature you’re comfortable with. The room temperature will then automatically stay the same, whether the weather outside is hot or cold.

Condensate Drain

The Vogue Gen2 system is an efficient condensing boiler, using the water vapour it produces as another source of heat rather than letting it go to waste. The condensation produced in this process is called boiler condensate, which it gets rid of using a condensate pipe or drain.

Your boiler is fitted with a condensate trap system, which helps to prevent the boiler condensate from freezing. If you’re worried that your condensate pipe has frozen, take a look at page 10 of the full user guide for further instructions.

Fault Finding

If your boiler is showing a fault code, it will automatically provide you with helpful suggestions to quickly resolve the issue.

The information below provides a little more information about some frequently asked questions about the Vogue Gen2’s fault messages. Page numbers refers to the full PDF version of the user manual.

Actions to Take If You Suspect a Gas Leak

If you’re concerned that there may be a gas leak in your home, contact the National Gas Emergency Service immediately by calling them on 0800 111 999.

In this situation, you should not operate any electrical switches (either to turn something on or off) and ensure that any naked flames are extinguished. Open as many windows and doors in your property as you can to make sure there’s plenty of ventilation.

Cleaning and Maintenance

To keep your boiler looking clean and tidy, simply dust it regularly with a dry cloth. A difficult mark or stain can be tackled by wiping your boiler with a damp, non-abrasive cloth then finish cleaning with a dry cloth.

The Vogue Gen2 System will stay at its best when it is serviced annually — this will also keep your boiler warranty valid. Your boiler service must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer, helping to ensure your boiler remains in great working condition.
