Investing In Our Community – Two Millionth Logic Boiler Donated To Emmaus

We have recently celebrated an important milestone in our company’s history: we’ve produced over two million Logic boilers!

The Logic range of boilers is designed with homeowners in mind,  combining the reliability and quality that our brand is well known for, with state-of-the-art technology and industry-leading quality control. It is well known for being one of the most reliable boilers on the market – a fact confirmed by the impressive amount we have managed to produce so far.

The Logic was first launched in 2009 and has quickly become our most popular boiler due to its efficiency and reliability. It is an award-winning product, having received the Queen’s award in 2013 and a number of other industry accolades.

As a company, we are dedicated to investing in the local community and making a positive impact in people’s lives. We wanted to celebrate this wonderful milestone by supporting a charity that has close ties to the City of Hull and that has supported homeless people since 1949. Our two millionth Logic boiler has been donated to the Emmaus charity in Hull!

The Emmaus charity, having recently opened a shop in Hull, supports more than 750 formerly homeless people by providing them with a home and work opportunities in social enterprises. The charity hopes to help 1,000 people by 2020.

A recent study conducted by the Department for Communities and Local Government and Homeless.org found that homelessness is on the rise, with more and more people being forced into rough sleeping due to unstable economic and financial conditions across the country. According to the latest figures, 4,134 people are estimated to be sleeping rough on any one night across the UK.

Although the figures suggest that the number of rough sleepers has increased for the sixth consecutive year across the country, figures from East Yorkshire and the Humber have seen a slight decline in the past year. We believe this is a testament to the fantastic work of charities such as Emmaus that have a rich history of providing support in the homelessness sector.

Our donation of a Logic+ boiler will help provide one home in Hull with heat and comfort this winter. Simon Collinge, the Emmaus Enterprise Manager, said:

We are extremely touched and grateful to receive the two millionth Logic from Ideal. We value all our relationships with local businesses, particularly those with such strong ties to the City of Hull. This donation will help tremendously in raising the profile of homelessness and important funds for our community. The boiler will provide one lucky household with the warmth our formerly homeless companions have themselves, in the past, gone without.

Every pound spent in one of our enterprises, which include cafés, house clearance businesses, gardening projects and clothing shops, supports our wider approach to reducing homelessness and helping people get back on their feet.

The boiler was presented to Emmaus by Ideal’s Area Sales Manager Luke King, at a special reception to promote the new shop’s work. “This is a fantastic charity doing vital work for homeless people in our hometown of Hull. So we’re delighted as a business our two millionth Logic boiler is helping such a worthy cause,” said Luke.

This milestone was also commemorated at our HQ in Hull and included a visit to our Centre of Excellence by the city’s Deputy Lord Mayor Pete Allen.

We hope to continue supporting Emmaus in the future and are confident that our donation will make a positive impact in someone’s life this winter. We encourage you to find out more about Emmaus and about the work they do on their website.
